What is the focus of Advantage Football Camps?
Advantage Football Camps are a non contact skills camp teaching speed training, agility training, and position specific drills. The theme of our camp is to teach campers how to train using our drills throughout the summer. From a beginning player, to an experienced college bound senior, our staff comprised of high school and college coaches will find ways to teach to the needs of each camper.
What age groups can attend Advantage Football Camps?
This upcoming summer (Summer of 2011) - all Advantage Football Camps will be ages 5-18 OR students entering kindergarden through entering 12th grade.
With your camps being ages 5-18 - how will my young or older son benefit from attending a camp with such age discrepancy?
A great question that we get all the time - especially in the past when we would separate the Youth from the Senior. Members of our staff worked the Michael Vick Camp, Jim Kelly Camp, Offense/Defense Camp ect. and have developed a superb way to include all ages at camp - while separating the campers by age during specific drills and training. Our college and high school head coaches will work primarily with the older players, while members of our staff from JV and Youth Football programs will work with younger campers.
What type of football experience do you need to attend this football camp?
Our camp introduces campers to basic speed training, agility drills, as well as base football skills. For our experienced campers who may be older - we will group them together and take them through more advanced drills and training.
What does my son need to bring to camp?
Advantage Football Camps are non contact skills camp - so no equipment is needed. We encourage campers to wear athletic attire, and bring both cleats and sneakers (in case of weather)
Will camp still continue during or in the event of rain, lightning, thunder?
Camp will continue through light rain. In the event of heavy rain, thunder/lightning storms - each camp will have a secondary "inside" plan for camp to continue.
